Become an AHB Volunteer
Becoming a AHB volunteer, you must first register with the county office which includes background check information. Please click on the following link that will talk you through the process:

Under the "Information" section on the left side of the craven county site, click on "volunteer program" - and follow the steps provided to apply online. You will be notified via-e-mail when your application has been processed.
Once you are approved by the BOE to volunteer, here are a few tips to get you started:
*Fill out the "Hug Volunteer Contact Sheet" found either by hovering over the "volunteering" page link at the top of this site, or on the volunteer table at the front entra
*contact your teacher(s) of choice to schedule your volunteer time
*If you are a community volunteer or need assistance with choosing a placement, please contact us at the numbers listed below.
*check in and out as a "volunteer" on the computer in the front office.
-this tracks your time and lets the staff know you are in the building
* If you are doing volunteer tasks outside of the school (such as cutting, making booklets, PTO planning, etc), please log these "off
site" hours in under your name (see instructions at the computer)
*Find your gray name tag in the basket on the volunteer table at the school entrance.
-wear it during your volunteer time in the school
*Check the volunteer table as well as Bangert’s website www.ahbangert.weebly.com (specifically the PTO section) regularly for additional volunteer opportunities and information. We will also send out e-mails when volunteers are needed for specific events and fundraisers.
